1) Part one: Sketching

Students will be able to create a three-dimensional object on a two-dimensional surface, using tonal value.

2) Part 2: Painting

This lecture teaches you the basics of mixing paint in order to create a 3-D object in colour.

3) Let's shape it!

Students will be able to form a new view of objects around them - to simplify them into shapes and observe them differently. The guitar picture with the shape drawings is available as a download.

4) Colour and shape

Students will be completing a painting from scratch, using acrylic paint. A reference picture used in the video is available as a download.

5) Getting into the zone

This video I took a while ago, so some of the reference to a prior video is not relevant.  It is an excellent exercise for your way forward, though.

6) Drawing a face

Learn the basics of how to draw a face, as well as some shading techniques, in preparation for drawing from a reference picture.
